The last few weeks have been full of exciting events and activities at SET Beccles.
This week we welcome our Year 6 students, who are joining us for two days of transition. They are following a normal school day timetable, offering them a real secondary school experience. Much thanks must go to our student ambassadors who are supporting and organising activities, showing great care and patience.
Last week we finally held our Performing Arts showcase. This was a spectacular affair, full of energy, fun, dance, drama and music. What an impressive and talented cohort of students we have. It was wonderful to have so many parents and friends support too. Some very proud faces in the audience.
We were also extremely proud of our students in Forge Beccles. The specialist provision was officially opened by Elizabeth Talbot who spoke very sincerely about the importance of specialist schools and the inclusive nature of SET Beccles. Ten students showed real bravery and determination, standing in front of the crowd sharing their favourite aspects of Forge Beccles. Students had prepared a delicious afternoon tea for our guests.
Finally, a massive well done to our Year 11 students. We could not be prouder of their efforts, attitude, maturity and approach to the exams. They have excelled in every way. We are looking forward to saying a final goodbye at their prom next week and cannot wait to celebrate their successes with them in the summer on results day.
I wish you all a good week,
